myCampus - providing a community and outreach to our educators
Information:
Dashboard calendar featuring important dates: such as the first and last days of classes and holidays, as well as individual information, such as due dates for coursework, and personal information that can be added by the faculty member or imported from other calendars stored on a personal computer, such as iCal or Microsoft® Exchange®.
Dashboard and community space provided by myCampus give a unique ability to display course materials online, including notes, syllabi, due dates, assignments and grades, that can be viewed privately or publicly.
Communication:
Social networking function allows professors and faculty members to keep in touch with other educators within their department and university, as well as with students and teaching assistants in their individual courses.
The myCampus alert system allows educators to send out last minute and crucial messages to students that might pertain to important upcoming schedule changes, and if they are running late or going to miss class and office hours.
Revolutionary web portal design allows professors, teaching assistants, and other faculty members to collaborate with students and each other through online working community spaces. These communities allow educators to provide course and assignment information using document and image libraries, to keep an active blog about coursework and subject material, and to utilize an online forum to talk openly with interested students about lecture questions and host online test reviews.
