CAS® Professional Services
Originally developed by Yale University, Central Authentication Service® (CAS®) is a single sign-on authentication system for the web. With CAS®, users can access multiple password and security credentialed applications after entering only one set of login information.
CampusEAI utilizes CAS® as a single sign-on protocol for myCampus Web 2.0 services.
The myCampus CAS® Integration provides:
- Increased user convenience (SSO)
- Secure authentication to third-party applications (protecting usernames and passwords)
- Centralized authentication control
- Broad range of credential types including username and password, 2-factor token, x509 certificates and NTLM/Windows Native
- Industry-wide support – especially among the higher education community

1The Jasig Central Authentication Service was originally developed by Yale University. It has since become a Jasig project. Since the availability of the Central Authentication Service server implementation and protocol, there have been many client programs developed for "CASifying" applications such that they can use CAS for user authentication. Single sign on is a session/user authentication process that allows a user to provide his or her credentials once in order to access multiple applications. The request to access a web resource is intercepted either by a component in the web server, or by the application itself. Unauthenticated users are diverted to an authentication service and returned only after a successful authentication. For more information, please visit
